This app is awesome and continues getting better. I use it every time in the gym and really enjoy it. The main things I like: - it proposes workouts based on what muscles are tired and on past weights and reps. It also counts perceived effort in recommendations. - you can always change the workouts based on available equipment. - it stores workout data in Google Fit. Some changes I would like to do: - I’m getting older and having shoulder problems. You can manually exclude exercises but I would love for it to incorporate issues into a routine. - speaking of joints, I don’t think there is enough focus on flexibility, stretching and joint mobility. After the following improvements this would make a great app even better. All this said I strongly recommend this app to everyone I know. It’s terrific.
The exercises are all very simple and require little setup. If you don't know the correct form, there are short explanation videos. I can do each of them, even when I'm having an off-day, but it's also fun to challenge myself and do more repetitions or add weights when I'm feeling strong. You can also blast music behind the instructions for motivation.
You can use a several metrics to plan your workout . I like the “fresh muscle group” option. It Keeps me working the best groups everyday. And the costs are very comfortablet compared to a PT. Really good for the lifter who knows enough but doesn’t want to bother with creating a long plan. The app will do it daily for you.
I will like to say, I have been through many apps before this. Many are cookie cutter, no motivation, lack of inspiration. However when I found GymDone. I am more excited to go to gym and FOCUS. My workouts/FORM have improved ever since and whoever’s idea to create this app I applaud you.
