Originally after getting back on the game that was once called Warlight, the controls and gui seemed to have been downgraded, however, after getting back into some multiplayer games, this was anything but the case. Checking players and actions were made ultra-easy with side screen tabs and the adjustable chat window were two things I hadn't really noticed along with the territory link option. Though there are two things I wish they would add. One being an options to go back and load chat from a specific turn, loading chats that have been very active has a tendency to cause the app to lag. And second, an ability to reset all cards played, because if you mis-play a card, you have to rest your whole turn. Other than that, good game, keep it up.
its a really nice game, you can play against ai's(computer), against other people, and you can play singleplayer(levels). as you gain xp you gain more features you can use, but if you play in a game from somebody else you can use all the features that person has set. There are cards you can gain from gaining territories and you can play those cards against somebody else. there are also diplomacy games, which involves alliances, declaring war, public enemies, and sometimes a bit roleplay.
Calling the graphics in this game stripped back is being generous; they wouldn't look out of place on a Commodore 64, the chat isn't implemented particularly well, and the sound effects are dreadful. Despite this, Warlight is my favourite game of the moment. The game requires real strategy, is engaging, and often un-put-downable. It's Risk+ with a welcoming but punishingly good community who will force you to perfect your tactics quickly. A real triumph of substance over style!
I only just beat the second single player map. Map 2 was fun - but on par with most risk games I've played. Which, admittedly are not many. However, I just started looking at the third map and was floored. By the third single player map it became the Very Best risk game I have played, Ever. Those who have played risk on the board will likely not want to go back unless except for the atmosphere with nearby players. This game truly is a great step up for the game, Risk.
From a small flash game on the desktop to a full fledged mobile game, Warzone (formerly Warlight) has come a long way. The gameplay is incredibly solid, its risk but better in several aspects namely the cards. The game has a fun and interesting in scenarios that remain surprisingly difficult and are always fun to come back to. Overall worth a download if not a permanent spot on your device.
This is a great game. It is very simple in the beginning. As it has a lot of flexible game options, it is a very flexible game, allowing it to have many different type of games within the warzone app. You can be a member which allows certain benefits BUT money does NOT give you advantages against other players!
