Fate/Grand Order (English) is a free-to-play APK role playing game for Android phones, released by TYPE-MOON. It offers an expansive main scenario and multiple character quests, packed with millions of words of original story content which all long-term fans of the Fate franchise, as well as newcomers, will be able to enjoy.
Set in the year 2017 A.D., the game follows Chaldea - an organization tasked with observing Earth's future. The player takes up the role of Master and works alongside spiritual entities known as "Servants" in order to protect humanity from impending extinction. These Servants are summoned through a magical ritual called "Holy Grail War" where they battle it out to gain powerful abilities called Noble Phantasms that they can use to assist their Masters in battles against powerful enemies.
Players can customize their Servants' skills and stats using different items acquired throughout the game such as Craft Essences and Ascension Materials. Additionally, players can also obtain rare summons with the help of Friend Points which are earned through helping other players or completing special objectives in battles.
Though simple at first glance, Fate/Grand Order offers many complex gameplay mechanics that veteran RPG fans should be able to appreciate. This includes branching storylines for some characters depending on how players build their team as well as various difficulty levels for each stage that provide additional rewards for completion or challenge even the most experienced Master!
