Ariadna application info
Ariadna is an application developed by StandApp which is formed by Laura, Mnica, Alba, Helena and Isabel. We decided to called it like that due to the Ariadnes myth. Within this myth. Ariadne uses a red thread to help Theseus getting out the Minotaurs maze and killing the minotaur. Therefore weve chosen this name as a metaphor because our app consist on solving a mystery where women try to escape from the maze where history hid them. With this app we are trying to make the customers conscious about the achievements of women hidden throughout the history due to their husbands, family or fellow workers. We decided this concept and not other because we wanted to make people realise their low knowledge of women on science field, mainly because of the lack of information provided in Spanish schools. We wanted as well to encourage and empower future women generations and show them we can contribute the science field with developments or discoveries like men have done in the past centuries. Nowadays Ariadna is a prototype application. We are looking forward enlarge it in the future. Women not only were hidden in the technological and scientific field, but also in the literary and philosophical ones. Therefore, we are willing to create new tests and challenges about them. Aside from this, due to the fact that our app is based on Cluedos game (in which you have to find a person following clues earned throughout it) we are considering the develop of new programs inspired by other board games, for instance Who is who, Trivial, Mouse trap, etc.
