Punjabi PaniniKeypad IME application info
This is a Input Method Editor (IME) and can be used in all applications on your phone by selecting it. You can type in Punjabi ( ਪੰਜਾਬੀ/ਗੁਰਮੁਖੀ ) any where inside your phone or tablet. Follow settings below to launch IME.
Panini Keypad allows one to type in Punjabi/Panjabi/Gurmukhi and all other Indian languages on the phone with single keypresses (instead of multitaps) very fast and very conveniently by predicting characters that you are most likely to write next. This is a new Predictive text based on linguistics and offers many advantages.

Follow the IME launch procedure below:
1. Download and install this application on phone.
2. Go to "Setting"->"Locale & text/ Language & input" and tick in check box on Panini Keypad Punjabi IME.
3. Go to "Setting"->"Locale & text/ Language & input" set Default Keyboard as PaniniKeypad IME.
4. Back to text compose area, keyboard will appear on screen.
5. Experience Fast & Easy Punjabi typing on phone & tablet.
Two rules
1. Look for the character, press it.
2. If character not there, press Next List button.
For jorak akshars (half ka etc, consonant clusters) please put a Halant [੍] in the middle of the two consonants. The jorak akshars will automatically form. The Halant [੍] is also a character, predicted automatically like others and shown in red for your easy recognition.
Example:
ਪ੍ਰੀਤੀ = ਪ+ ੍+ਰ+ੀ+ਤ+ੀ
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ = ਬ+ ੍+ਰ+ਹ+ਮ+ਾ
ਨਿਮਨ = ਨ+ਿ+ਮ+ਨ
ਕ੍ਰਾਂਤ = ਕ+ ੍+ਰ+ਾ+ਂ+ਤ
ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਕ = ਕ+ ੍+ਰ+ਿ+ਸ਼+ਕ
You can input the English in between the Punjabi by switching to ABC mode. or you can include English/Punjabi Numerals, Symbols and Smilies between the words by pressing the 123 button.
There is no need to change the IME for typing English. you can switch between the languages by pressing ABC button.
