TeXslate テキストエディター アプリ 向け Android 説明
TeXslate is a native LaTeX/XeTeX editor for Android tablets (and phones) that compiles your documents right on the device — no cloud service, no account, no companion PC. Editor, LaTeX compiler and PDF preview live together in one screen.
It is powered by the Tectonic engine (XeTeX), so modern Unicode and fontspec/\setmainfont just work.
Features:
- Full LaTeX/XeTeX compilation on-device, offline
- Live PDF preview — split view on tablets, tabbed layout on phones
- LaTeX syntax highlighting, auto-compile on pause, jump-to-error
- Multi-file projects: \input / \include and bibliography
- Curated fonts bundled (Latin Modern, TeX Gyre) usable by name via \setmainfont; Android system fonts and your own font folder also work
- Search & replace, go-to-line, comment toggle, document outline, custom templates
- Optional AI assistant (Anthropic / OpenAI / Gemini) — off by default, used only if you add your own API key
Good to know:
- The first compile downloads the TeX packages it needs (internet needed that one time). Afterwards compiling works offline; when a connection is available, the app checks the bundle server and fetches packages a document uses for the first time.
- The optional AI assistant contacts third-party services only when you enable it with your own key.
Free software, licensed under GPL-3.0-or-later. Built for tablets first: split view, external keyboard and stylus.
